Build and Balance Chiropractor's are a compassionate and experienced group of chiropractors who is dedicated to helping their patients achieve their health and wellness goals. They take the time to listen to each patient's unique needs and develop a personalized treatment plan.
We offer a variety of services to help you achieve your health goals, including chiropractic adjustments, massage therapy, and infant care. We also offer custom orthotics to help improve your posture and reduce pain.
We begin with each new patient by performing a thorough consultation and exam to determine the underlying health concerns and problems. If necessary we also take a set of x-rays. This allows us to be very specific in your care. Our doctors specialize in a variety of different chiropractic techniques and will work with you to find the technique that best suits you and your health concerns. Many of the techniques used in the office are extremely gentle and highly effective. At Build and Balance Chiropractic Center, we believe you should receive the personal attention and care you deserve.
We are trained in the Webster technique which is a method to achieve optimal fetal position. This technique is utilized when in-utero position presents as breech or transverse. The Webster technique is a non-invasive specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment for the pregnant woman. It works to correct sacral misalignment and balance the pelvic muscles and ligaments which removes torsion on the uterus. The balanced state of the pelvic has been shown clinically to allow for optimal fetal positioning. According to the Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics (2002), an 83% success rate is seen by the Webster Technique Certified Chiropractors who work with mothers with babies presenting breech or transverse.

Why Chiropractic:
When I graduated, I wanted to be a sports chiropractor. Since that time, my wife and I have had two boys. During our pregnancies, I realized that having a family chiropractic office was my true calling. When our second son was born, he spent 62 days in the NICU at the hospital. For 60 of those days, I adjusted him. At this moment, I knew my passion was to see as many families as I could. I love helping pregnant women through their entire pregnancy. There is no greater compliment than when a new mom bring their baby in to see me after getting care.
What's your favorite thing about being a chiropractic?
I didn't realize it when I started chiropractic, but it is truly amazing to watch the families that come, grow through the different phases of their lives. Since being in practice for 18 years, it has been a pleasure to see so many families.
What drives you?
I'm always striving to achieve a work/life balance. Having a family practice is amazing and I love it, but hanging out with my family at home is always number one for me.
Why Chiropractic?
It’s my horse’s fault that I’m a chiropractor. When we were riding one day, I was thrown o and landed on my neck and shoulder which left me with debilitating headaches for months. Nothing that I tried helped!! After seeing me suffer, a friend encouraged me to come meet her chiropractor because she thought he could really help me. I had never been adjusted before so had no idea what to expect. After the first adjustment, I had instant relief, and I actually slept. I continued with his recommended treatment plan, and I’ve been more alive ever since! My headaches were long gone, I was stronger and healthier then I’d been in years and at that point I just knew I had to help other people experience life at this level!
What is your favorite thing about being a chiropractor?
My favorite thing is treating the WHOLE family…including the pets! Families that get adjusted together, stay healthy together.
What drives you?
I love educating people on the WHY behind the WHAT we do….to see when people reach that “AH HA!” moment and understand that getting adjusted will literally make them function at a higher level! It’s wonderful to help people feel empowered to make health and lifestyle changes. What is something funny about you? They say laughter is the best medicine. One of my goals is to make you laugh, or at least smile.
Why Chiropractic?
I knew at 13 years old that I would become a Chiropractor after watching my father recover from incredible pain and immobility in just a couple adjustments, our family chiropractor explained to me why my Dad was in so much pain and how he was going to help. I had never felt so comfortable talking to a Doctor. I was inspired to help families like ours to live without pain and enjoy all the benefits of a healthy nervous system.
What is your favorite thing about being a Chiropractor?
The look of amazement on the face of someone who gets their very first adjustment.
What drives me?
I am first driven by love for my family. Professionally, I strive to make a difference in the way healthcare is delivered. I focus on positivity and look forward to enjoying a fulfilling career by helping families reach their goals.
I graduated college in 2011 with an associate’s degree in medical assisting. Prior to being hired here in 2012, I had been a patient at Build and Balance for 5 years. I had been in soccer and hockey my whole life and my body was struggling as a result. I couldn’t be happier that a family friend had recommended that I go to Build and Balance. I liked it so much; I got the opportunity to work here! I have learned so much about chiropractic over the years and I love that I get to pass along the knowledge to my friends and family. I enjoy coming to work every day, not only to help people on their health journey, but to also interact with everyone and share stories. Now that I am married and have my own children it’s amazing to see what amazing things chiropractic has done for our family and keeping all of us healthy.
With a health care background as a medical assistant, joining a team that is so wellness and family oriented was a refreshing and much needed change. I feel very passionate about educating people to advocate for themselves when it comes to their health care. It’s important to change the way we look at health care in our country, and for people to realize that they don’t have to just settle for putting a “band-aid” over their health concerns anymore. Helping people reach their full health and wellness potential is a great way to spend my day. I have a true chiropractic family with 3 kids and a husband who love coming in weekly for their adjustments. My kids have been adjusted since they were babies – two of them since they were less than 1 day old.
I graduated from South Central College in Mankato in 2005 pursuing a degree in speech therapy. Shortly after graduation my husband Adam took a job here in Minneapolis. We quickly found a place to live and have been living in Andover for over 15 years. I was extremely lucky enough to be able to stay at home full-time with our 2 children for many years. I started working part-time in a local school district and worked there for 7 years before changing roles and taking a different career path here a Build and Balance. I was first introduced to chiropractic care back in 2009 when I was pregnant with my son. I have been a patient here for many years. I love how the adjustments have changed my body and health.
When you don’t see me here, I am probably at a pool somewhere watching my 2 kids competing either in swimming or diving. I also enjoy spending as much time outdoors when it’s sunny and warm. My husband and I also enjoy hoping on our motorcycle and taking a nice peaceful cruise anywhere.
I graduated in 2004 from the University of MN with degrees in Psychology and Criminology. I worked in the psychology field before choosing to stay at home with our 3 boys once our youngest was born. We started going to Build and Balance in 2014. Chiropractic care has helped our family so much and we are so grateful for the care and love that Build and Balance has always given. I started working at Build and Balance in 2023. Working here has given me so much knowledge. It is wonderful to work with such a great team and in an environment where you see people being helped every day and you get to be a part of it. When I'm not at work you can find me reading a good book, enjoying summer weekends up north on the lake and spending time with family and friends.
I am new to the Chiropractic world and only had my first adjustment after I started working at Build & Balance fall 2024. I had heard about it for years from both my sister and sister-in-law, who had worked and been patients here before me, which made it feel more familiar when I started. I’d even come to take pictures with the Christmas llamas one year! Although I grew up in Blaine, my job for the last thirteen years had led me to live and travel outside of the Midwest. I loved those experiences but am also thankful to be back and closer to family. One of the things I’ve enjoyed most about joining the Build & Balance team is learning more about Chiropractic practices, how amazing the nervous system is, and how all the different areas of our bodies can be impacted what is happening along our spines. I also love getting to know our patients and share a few moments of each other’s day.
We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
