Why chiropractic?

When I graduated I wanted to be a sports chiropractor, since that time, my wife and I have had 2 boys. During our pregnancies, I realized that having a family chiropractic office was my true calling. When our second son was born, he spent 62 days in the hospital. For 60 of those days I adjusted him. At this time, my passion is to see as many families as I can. I love helping pregnant woman through their entire pregnancy. It is one of the biggest compliments when a pregnant mom brings in her brand new baby after seeing her through the whole pregnancy.

What is your favorite thing about being a chiropractor?

I didn’t realize it when I started chiropractic, but it is truly amazing to watch the families that come in mature right in front of me. Since being in practice since 2006, it has been a pleasure getting to see so many families grow.

What drives you?

I’m always striving to achieve a work/life balance. Having a family practice is amazing and I love it, but hanging out with my family while playing hockey and watching hockey is easily my desire.

What is something funny about you?

I am a crazy cat lady disguised in a man’s body!

Why Chiropractic?

It’s my horse’s fault that I’m a chiropractor. When we were riding one day, I was thrown off and landed on my neck and shoulder which left me with debilitating headaches for months. Nothing that I tried helped!! After seeing me suffer, a friend encouraged me to come meet her chiropractor because she thought he could really help me. I had never been adjusted before so had no idea what to expect. After the first adjustment I had instant relief, and I actually slept. I continued with his recommended treatment plan, and I’ve been more alive ever since! My headaches were long gone, I was stronger and healthier then I’d been in years and at that point I just knew I had to help other people experience life at this level!

What is your favorite thing about being a chiropractor?

My favorite thing is treating the WHOLE family…including the pets! Families that get adjusted together, stay healthy together.

What drives you?

I love educating people on the WHY behind the WHAT we do….to see when people reach that “AH HA!” moment and understand that getting adjusted will literally make them function at a higher level! It’s wonderful to help people feel empowered to make health and lifestyle changes.

What is something funny about you?

They say laughter is the best medicine. One of my goals is to make you laugh, or at least smile.

Why Chiropractic?

I knew at 13 years old that I would become a Chiropractor after watching my father recover from incredible pain and immobility in just a couple adjustments.  Our Family Chiropractor explained to me why my Dad was in so much pain and how he was going to help.  I had never felt so comfortable talking to a Doctor.  I was inspired to help families like ours to live without pain and enjoy all the benefits of a healthy nervous system.

What is your favorite thing about being a Chiropractor?

The look of amazement on the face of someone who gets their very first adjustment.

What drives me?

I am first driven by love for my family.  Professionally, I strive to make a difference in the way Healthcare is delivered.  I focus on positivity and look forward to enjoying a fulfilling career by helping families reach their goals.

What is something funny about you?

I have been told I look like a young Homer Simpson. “MMMMM….Beer” – Homer Simpson

Caitlin Fisher

Caitlin Fisher

Chiropractic Assistant since 2012

I graduated from Argosy University in 2011 with an associate’s degree in Medical Assisting. Prior to being hired here in 2012, I had been a patient at Build and Balance for 5 years. I had been in soccer and hockey my whole life and my body was struggling as a result. I couldn’t be happier that a family friend had recommended that I go to Build and Balance. I liked it so much; I got the opportunity to work here! Throughout the past few years of working here I have learned so much about chiropractic, nutrition and pregnancy. I love that I get to pass along the knowledge to my friends and family. I enjoy coming to work every day, not only to help people on their health journey, but to also interact with everyone and share stories.

Outside of the office I love spending time with my husband and friends, mostly doing anything that is sports related. My husband and I also love going up the North shore to waterfall hunt. There are so many hidden waterfalls and our goal is to find as many as we can. Being recently married, we are looking forward to growing our family very soon!

Chiropractic Assistant since 2016

I graduated from Taylor University in 2005 with a degree in Psychology and Spanish.  My husband Daniel had a job here in MN so after graduation we got married and relocated to Andover, MN.  I worked in my field for a few years and then we decided to start a family.  When my daughter was born I left my job to stay home full time and am so thankful I was able to do that as our family grew to include our 3 kids.  We were introduced to chiropractic care when my daughter was 1 and we have been getting adjusted regularly as a family since.  We found Build and Balance in 2012 and have blessed so much by the care we received here as patients.  I love being part of a team where everyone is so gifted and skilled at what they do.  The passion of the team to always be better, learn more and achieve better quality of life for everyone who walks through the door inspires me everyday.

Chiropractic Assistant since 2017

Prior to starting my career with Build and Balance, I was a hairstylist for 13 years.  It took a toll on my body over that time, and I found that chiropractic gave me a lot of relief.  When I was offered an opportunity to join the team, I was ecstatic. My family had already been coming here for several years and I had seen how chiropractic has helped us stay healthy.  I love seeing how chiropractic has helped so many families thrive.

During the summer weekends you will find us mostly up north enjoying the lake, fishing and swimming! We love to travel, when we can find the time! Our son’s 1st road trip was to Montana when he was just 7 wks old, best little traveler!

With a health care background as a medical assistant, joining a team that is so wellness and family oriented was a refreshing and much needed change. I feel very passionate about educating people to advocate for themselves when it comes to their health care. It’s important to change the way we look at health care in our country, and for people to realize that they don’t have to just settle for putting a “band-aid” over their health concerns anymore. Helping people reach their full health and wellness potential is a great way to spend my day. I have a true chiropractic family with 3 kids and a husband who love coming in weekly for their adjustments. My kids have been adjusted since they were babies – two of them since they were less than 1 day old.
